Store owner / Retail chain operator

Your sales report tells you what sold. It cannot tell you what forty people stood and looked at, then put down and walked out without.

Every walk-out was already recorded. Which product they stopped at, how long they waited, whether anyone came to help. CamI reads that off the cameras you already have and sends you a plain summary each morning. If you run more than one store, it puts them side by side, so the question you have never been able to answer, why one outsells the other on the same stock, finally has numbers behind it.

Walk-outs after a genuine look

Rs 2 to 6 lakh per year

industry estimate: even a 1% conversion gain on a Rs 2 Cr per year store, from customers who stopped at a product and left unattended

Understaffed peak hours

Rs 1 to 3 lakh per year

typical: the evening hour carrying the most footfall and the thinnest floor cover, unnoticed because the daily total still looks normal

Shrinkage (theft, procedural error, damage)

Rs 3 to 4 lakh per year

industry estimate: 1.5 to 2% of sales on a Rs 2 Cr per year store

Right now your cameras only record. With CamI, the same cameras watch.

Today, your cameras only record

  • Footage sits on the DVR until someone remembers to rewind it.

  • One person watching 8 to 16 monitors misses over half of what happens after 20 minutes.

  • The event is noticed the morning after, if it is noticed at all.

  • Footfall, queues, displays and the stockroom are never counted against each other.

With CamI, the same cameras watch

  • Every morning you get a plain summary of the day before, on WhatsApp.

  • Anything urgent comes through the same day, with a short clip and a timestamp.

  • Nights, weekends and holidays are covered by the same cameras.

  • Footage stays on your recorder, and the data we do store stays in India.

What CamI reads off your cameras

Each line below is something you can switch on per camera. It lands in your morning summary, or as a message the moment it matters.

Which products customers stopped at

Counts how many people stopped in front of each display, rack or section, and for how long, by hour and by day.

Why it matters: You know what sold. You do not know what was considered and put back. That gap is the difference between guessing at your next order and knowing.

Looked at but did not buy

Compares the number of people who stopped at a product against the number of units billed that day.

Why it matters: Forty people stood in front of a model and two bought it. Either the price is wrong, the display is wrong, or nobody came to help. All three are fixable, and none of them show up in your sales report.

How many walked in, how many bought

Counts entries against billed transactions to give a daily conversion rate per store.

Why it matters: A quiet day and a busy day with poor conversion look identical in the sales total. One is a footfall problem, the other is a floor problem, and they need opposite fixes.

Whether anyone attended the customer

Flags when a customer stands at a display for longer than your threshold with no staff member approaching.

Why it matters: On a high-value purchase, the sale is usually lost in the minutes nobody came over. This is the single most recoverable loss on a showroom floor.

Busiest hours and staff cover

Shows footfall by hour against how many staff were actually on the floor at that hour.

Why it matters: Most stores are overstaffed at 11 a.m. and short at 7 p.m. Moving one shift costs nothing and recovers the hour you were losing sales in.

Queue at billing

Counts people waiting at each counter and alerts when the wait crosses your threshold.

Why it matters: A predictable queue sends shoppers out the door, and the sale goes to the store across the road.

Stockroom and after-hours access

Detects who enters the stockroom and when, flagging off-schedule and after-hours entry.

Why it matters: The quiet hour after closing is the cheapest window for stock to leave without a bill.

Billing counter irregularities

Flags repeated no-sale, void and discount sequences on the same till, plus items carried past without a scan.

Why it matters: Not an accusation, a pattern. You get the clip and decide for yourself whether it was a mistake or a habit.

What the first week usually surfaces

The first thing most owners find is not theft. It is the evening hour where the floor was short-staffed and the queue sent people home. That one is free to fix.
